Hundred Year Garden
Bruce Tanton is a visionary singer-songwriter with Hundred Year Garden, whose deeply personal music blends poetic lyricism with raw emotional honesty. Beginning his musical journey at age 30, he has since written over 500 original songs and collaborated with bands across North America, including Toronto’s Anti-Social and the sea shanty outfit Blown Ashore. His restless creativity led him to train as a chocolatier in Vancouver and refine his craft in France alongside renowned chef Philippe Parc at the Michel Cluizel factory and Cacao Barry Institute in Paris. Returning to Toronto, he fused his passions by creating an intimate live music venue and chocolate lounge featuring a grand piano, chandeliers, and martinis. After extensive travels and songwriting explorations across Europe, Tanton now calls San Diego home, where he is emerging as a compelling country rock artist in edgy country rock. Using modern production tools, he finally captures the full orchestrations and band sound that once lived only in his head—delivering rich, genre-blending tracks like The Love Chair, The Millers Daughter and The Hundred Year Garden, now streaming on all major platforms.
